Our second Pet Food Drive held at Lost Worlds Brewing in support of North Mecklenburg Animal Rescue was a great success!
While the sun had trouble peeking through the clouds and there was more chill in the air than we’d like for a day in April, that didn’t stop people and pups from coming out to support our hosted event and a local animal rescue. With refreshing craft beers from Lost Worlds Brewing, delicious food from 22 Street Kitchen, and adorable pups to pet – there were plenty of ways to warm up! We were able to curate 3 awesome gift baskets and kindly be donated some incredible gift baskets from Wax The City and On The Glow Aesthetics in Huntersville, as well as Elizabeth Brady, Realtor from Lake Realty of Lake Norman, to include as raffle prizes. Along with many awesome people coming out and donating pounds and pounds of dog and cat food, we were able to raise almost $600 in raffle tickets and donations for North Meck Animal Rescue! We are so happy to be able to support a fantastic rescue that cares for the animals in need as they wait for their furr-ever home.
And maybe the best part of it all? North Mecklenburg Animal Rescue had some dogs there ready for adoption. Geared up in their “adopt me” bandanas, two of the pups stole some people’s hearts enough to be ADOPTED! Our hearts are full knowing this event helped find homes for two of the rescue dogs, Luna and Guinness.
We’d like to thank everyone who came out in support of our event and cause and especially a big thank you to Lost Worlds Brewing Co. for letting us host our event at their establishment. We look forward to another Pet Food Drive and more community events in the future! It is by far our favorite thing to do (outside of insurance ;) ).
