As many of you have heard, last week President Obama announced that non-grandfathered individual healthcare plans will be renewed until 12/31/2014.
During the first week of December, you will be receiving notification from your insurance company with a renewal offer/new rates on your current plan, for a 01/01/2014 effective date.
At this time, if you would like to continue with your current plan for 2014, you need to do nothing – it will automatically renew as is.
If you would like to switch to one of the new ACA plans, you must contact us to make this change prior to 12/20/2013.
If you are seeking subsidy help from the Federal government, then you must go to www.healthcare.gov and complete the online application process, in order to receive confirmation of subsidy eligibility.
