North Mecklenburg Animal Rescue Kobe Cares Pet Supply Donations Site

For 13 years, Kobe was Dr. Jen Lidstrom’s faithful and loyal companion. He was with her through the move from Massachusetts to the Lake Norman area, during the early part of her career as a chiropractor to race car drivers and crew members, establishing her private practice, her marriage to Bennie Stevens more than two years ago, and the birth of her first child, Jacob, in January.
And although Kobe, a golden retriever, passed away this past summer, Lidstrom is making certain his legacy lives on as she kicks off the first Kobe Cares pet food and supply drive Tuesday, Nov. 27, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Lakeside Sports Chiropractic and Motorsports Rehab in Cornelius.
Food sponsors for the event will be Alton’s Kitchen and Cocktails, Santorini Grill, Choplin’s, Sangam and Hot Stone Grill. Live music will be provided by the Mike Underwood Band, and other refreshments will be available.
The canine and feline food and supply drive will be held Nov. 27-Dec. 24. Donation bins will be located at Champions Sports Performance, the Lake Norman Citizen, Alton’s Kitchen and Cocktails, Sangam Indian Cuisine, Choplins, Gateway Academy, Kenton Place, Thebeau & Associates, dogsupplies.com in Huntersville, Camp Wagging Tails, Joe Gibbs Racing, Friedman EyeCare, Lakeside Sports Chiropractic, Park Avenue Properties, Impeccable Paws, Peoples Bank in Cornelius, Kilwin’s at Birkdale Village and Lucky Dog Bark & Brew, Preferred Financial Strategies in Mooresville, Four Seasons of Lake Norman, Brian’s Dog House Grill, Carolina Oral and Facial, The Kobe Cares Booth during Huntersville Christmas and Country Inn Lake Norman and VIP Pet Services.
Donations will benefit North Meck Animal Rescue and the Cornelius Animal Shelter.
