Open Enrollment is the busiest time of the year for us. We like to meet with or speak to all clients to make sure they are aware of any changes to their plan and then make changes when needed. We do this by checking every single doctor the client sees, since some Medicare plans do work from a network of physicians. We also ask for a medication list – each insurance company has their own “formulary ” or list of medications they cover and at what tier/price. This is one of the most helpful aspects we have in getting a plan that is right for the clients specific needs. Outside of this time, we speak with our clients about the benefits of their plan as they see themselves needing more care.
We take an individualized approach and ensure the member not only has great coverage, but is fully comfortable with their plan choice. We have committed ourselves to finding each client a plan that works for the needs they have. This is extremely important since Medicare is not a system where one plan fits all. We sit down (or video chat in these days) with a client, explain the coverage options, and evaluate what is important to the client.
